The ingredients of a successful project

1. A good brief

The brief we receive from the client is - together with the site survey information - the essential basis for our work as landscape designers. We aim to produce a design that fits your requirements and suits your character.

To achieve this, we need a clear and comprehensive brief from our clients. It is crucial that you, as the client, think carefully about your likes and dislikes and how you plan to use the garden. Even so, a good brief is still only a starting point. A successful design will evolve with the mutual understanding that develops between client and designer as the project proceeds.

2. Site visits

As a project develops, it will require close supervision to deal with problems that arise and changes that may need to be made. Design is a continuous process that does not end with the production of plans and working drawings. trees associates remain closely involved with our projects throughout their development, involving follow-up visits to monitor and discuss the development of the project.

3. Trust

Developing a garden or landscape, whether from scratch or adding to an existing framework, is a lengthy and complex undertaking. A good working relationship between client and designer is essential for the success of a project. The client needs to be able to trust the designer's vision before the garden comes to fruition. We recognise the importance of trust to a successful working relationship, and our business is built on referrals and testimonials from satisfied clients.

It is crucial that you, as the client, think carefully about your likes and dislikes and how you plan to use the garden.
